Features
Become a Featured Company
Supply chain companies can now become a featured company on WaterProjectsOnline. To promote your company to the industry, we offer 3 different levels as shown in the following comparison table.
We are accepting case studies on a rolling basis throughout the year and all submitted articles will be published immediately they are received on WaterProjectsOnline. We are no longer restricted to the UK however every case study detailing a UK project that meets the print edition editorial requirements will be put forward for selection in the UK Water Projects end of year print edition. Case studies can include:
Recently completed projects: Typically featuring the project in its entirety (design through to handover).
Ongoing projects: Projects do not have to be complete to be featured. You can cover the project up to its current development and follow this up with a completion article in future editions.
Flagship projects: We are now tending to feature the large, high profile projects on multiple occasions throughout the construction programme (eg: the design, the main construction, M&E installation, commissioning etc as well as selected aspects of note).
Individual components of a project: Highlighting specific aspects of the overall scheme as standalone case studies.
Follow up case studies: Continuation case studies detailing the latter stages/completion of projects featured in previous edition of UK Water Projects.
To nominate a project/submit a case study you need to submit a Project Nomination Form
Overall Focus: The case studies should focus on the design and construction elements of the project. Aspects such as reducing the carbon footprint, liaising with the public etc should be limited to coverage in the closing paragraphs.
Style & Content: The case study should be a technical article designed to be read by engineers in the water industry. It should start with the general location of the project, the population and population equivalent served, a brief description of the current facility and the reason for the current work/project drivers.
This should be followed with a technical description of design, process and/or construction work being undertaken and which companies are undertaking that work/supplying the key plant and equipment. The conclusion should state the progress to date, anticipated completion, performance results etc.
Table of designers, contractors and suppliers: Please include a table of the key participants (company names and nature of involvement) including the designers, main contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers of key process plant and construction materials.
Photographs: Our preference is for high resolution JPGs - Please Note: If including photographs in a Word document, they MUST also be provided in their original JPG format. Typically each photograph should have a file size of 2-3MB or larger (pixel dimensions should be approximately 2000 pixels wide by 1500 pixels high or larger).
For case studies of 1500 words we typically use 10 photographs
Photograph captions and credits: Please provide a short caption for each photograph submitted as well as an appropriate “Courtesy of ...name of Water Company or contractor...”.
Video: Videos can be added to the online versions of the case studies. If you wish to include a video(s) we just need the YouTube URL(s).
